adidas Stan Smith MTBR made to be redone GY3020
Adidas’ Made To Be Remade program is by far the most underrated green initiative in the footwear industry. If you need a refresher, here it is: buy a pair of Made To Be Remade shoes, wear them as you wish, send the shoes back to adidas where they are ground down to the base material and wait for adidas to come to you. send a brand new pair of sneakers. The logistics of a program like this are not easy to undertake, which is why adidas deserves praise for adopting a truly closed-loop system that completely eliminates waste.
Originally debuting in the FUTURECRAFT.Loop model and later in an UltraBOOST and Terrex Free Hiker silhouette, adidas now debuts its most renowned lifestyle sneaker in the world in the Stan Smith. As you can see, this iconic tennis shoe is completely rebuilt with the base material from head to toe, including the knit exterior, liner, outsole, and more. The green QR code is used for internal tracking purposes so that you can track the life cycle of your specific shoe.
The $ 180 price tag is higher than you’d expect for a Stan Smith, but it’s clearly not your average pair of Stans. These are now only available to adidas members, so check out the official photos ahead of time and add a truly unique pair of shoes to your rotation… forever.
