adidas Superstar HQ3612 Release Date

Germany’s leading sportswear brand adidas continued to strengthen its international presence with specialized divisions and global collaborations. Now, The Three Stripes’ latest campaign connects with 11 iconic restaurants around the world, providing the opportunity to share stories about classic adidas silhouettes. The “adilicious” program includes releases with Bloody Angle in Japan and Ravi Restaurant in the United Arab Emirates. This time around, adidas took inspiration from Seoul’s oldest bakery, Taegeukdang.

Using the beloved adidas Superstar, Taegeukdang keeps it simple with a classic white, off-white and black color scheme. However, there are plenty of bakery references everywhere. Starting with the translucent outsole, the showcase artwork runs throughout the pair. Beyond that, a removable layer with a pull tab in white covers the shoe’s black stripes on the lateral side. When revealed, the stripes have unique gold text next to them that reads “SEOUL”, referring to the location of the bakery. Additional Korean hits land on the tongue and heel to complete the look.

The release kicks off in Seoul at Taegeukdang where bakery customers can order the shoes for the first time between June 16 and June 20. After this early access window, release is set to take place via adidas and select international retailers on June 29 at a price of €120 EUR (approximately US$125).

In other adidas news, the Tyshawn Low comes out in a “Sky Rush” blue.
