Adidas unveils shoe and clothing collection for “Candace Parker Day” – Footwear News

The city of Chicago proclaimed September 16th “Candace Parker Day” and to celebrate, Adidas launched a collection for the hoops legend through Dick’s Sporting Goods.

The Candace Parker collection includes performance clothing and footwear, including Exhibit Ace Low sneakers customized in a trio of colourways. Each look, Adidas said, represents key chapters in Parker’s life and includes tributes to his late varsity coach and daughter. The sleek, court-ready look is constructed with airy uppers and responsive Lightstrike midsoles, and personalized for Parker with their “Ace” logo.

On the clothing front, Adidas will provide hoodies, T-shirts, tank tops, shorts and socks, and will incorporate sustainable and recycled materials.

“This collection represents so many important moments in my career and we hope it will reach and inspire the next generation of passionate athletes. It’s amazing to see the progress that female athletes have made over the past 20 years and this moment is a milestone in the expansion of women’s basketball, ”Parker said in a statement.

The Candace Parker collection from Adidas arrives September 23 in Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and online via and The line includes both shoes and apparel in inclusive sizes, and prices will range from $ 16 to $ 180.

Additionally, Adidas also unveiled a global campaign film series titled “Impossible Is Nothing,” which pays homage to Parker’s legacy. The series features appearances by famous athletes Patrick Mahomes, Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Derrick Rose, along with members of his family, to celebrate his journey to becoming a legend in women’s basketball.
