Charlotte FC on Thursday unveiled its main Adidas uniforms, or football “kits” for the club’s inaugural Major League Soccer seasons in 2022 and 23.
The blue jerseys will feature white sleeves and white lettering spelling the name of the main team sponsor, Ally, on the front of the jerseys with the secondary sponsor, Centene Corporation, appearing on the sleeves in black letters. The Charlotte FC crest – a blue circle inside a black circle with a white crown inside – is also featured on the upper chest.
Additionally, a detail on the lower front of the jersey features an outline image of the state of North and South Carolina, which the club said was a nod to the depiction of the ensemble. from the Carolina region.
âThe colors are representative of our basic color palette,â said Nick Kelly, President of Charlotte FC. â… We want to be a team for the Carolinas. Being that representative in our first uniform was really important.
Charlotte FC have revealed the new uniforms as their primary kits, meaning they are expected to be worn more frequently than the secondary kits which will be released early next year. The main uniforms also include white Adidas shorts, with player numbers on the front, paired with blue socks and black studs.

The uniforms were revealed live to a group of subscription members Thursday night during an experiential event at Camp North End in Charlotte. Members of the Charlotte FC front office, sponsors, five players (Jordy AlcÃvar, Christian Fuchs, Adam Armor, Brandt Bronico and Guzmán Corujo) and Charlotte FC coaches were present for the inauguration.
“Obviously it’s unique because it’s the first shirt of the newly formed squad,” said Fuchs, Charlotte FC defender and former Leicester City player. “For me this is one of the many that I have worn so far in my 17 years as a professional (player), but it is still very unique, very special.”
Charlotte FC’s roster so far includes nine players, including Wednesday’s latest signing, 19-year-old Brazilian striker Vinicius Mello. The team is expected to add more players this weekend after the MLS Cup Final in Portland on Saturday. The half-day trade window will open on Sunday, allowing the club to make trades or sign free agents during the offseason.

Charlotte FC will also take part in an expansion draft on Tuesday, December 14, which will see them add five players to their growing roster from the unprotected rosters of other teams. A live show from Bank of America Stadium announcing the picks will air at 7 p.m. on local stations WSOC-TV, WAXN and Telemundo Charlotte.
The team’s inaugural home game, in which they aim to welcome a crowd of more than 74,000 fans to Bank of America Stadium to break a league record, will be played against the LA Galaxy on March 5. Charlotte FC’s season opener will be played in Washington, DC on February 26 against Eastern Conference contender DC United.
