Adidas is one of the best known and most respected sportswear brands in history. The glowing reputation is due to many, many years of giving back, both from the brand itself and from its consumers.
Starting today (January 27), adidas is launching its Give Back Campaign where you can “give your equipment a future”. This new initiative rewards you for donating shoes and clothes of any brand – not just adidas – in any condition “the chance to be resold or reused”.
As adidas perfectly puts it, “You may be done, but your gear isn’t.”
This exciting new program that promotes sustainability and reduces waste is available exclusively on the adidas app. So click here to download it to your Apple or Android device.
If you’re curious about how the Give Back campaign works, here’s a five-part quick guide that walks you through the process:
: Go to the account page of the adidas app and select the “Give Back” tab.
: Once you have decided what you want to get rid of, put items of any brand in any condition in any bag or box under 60 inches with a maximum weight of 30 pounds.
: Adidas sifts through your shoes and clothes before reselling or reusing them.
: You will earn 200 Creators Club member points and up to $40 in adidas vouchers.
